A star plot displays multivariate data in a graphical way, by depicting each individual observation as a 'star', with each spoke representing a certain variable. The length of the spoke indicates the value of the variable, relative to all the other spokes' lengths and the other observations. In this image, air pollution data for four separate cities is displayed through star plots. When comparing each observation, or city, it's clear that Chicago's pollution is the greatest, relative to the other 3 observations.
