An isoline map is any map that uses continuous lines to join points of equal value. This includes contour maps, isotherms, isobars, isotachs, etc. Many isoline maps are used in meteorology and geography. Above is an example of an isoline map, that consists of lines depicting barometric pressure, otherwise known as an isobar map.
