Bivariate Choropleth Map

A bivariate choropleth map displays 2 variables on a single map, by combining different sets of data and differentiating between the two by using symbols and different colors. Bivariate maps show the relationship between two separate phenomena. The map above is one such example, in that it displays the median home value of different regions within a state by using distinct patterns, while at the same time displaying the population in those regions through the use of graduated color.
