Mental Map

http://groups.ischool.berkeley.edu/mentalmaps/

A mental map is a person's perception of the world around them, relating to space, distance, and location. A mental map created in the mind through personal experiences, influences from others, and creativity. Mental maps differ depending on the person, and the example above illustrates this fact. A student drew their version of San Francisco, including only the things they knew about or have seen for themselves. The lower half of the map they were unsure about, so it was left blank.
